Prussian Blue - Child
Tigga TIG004, 2000
This welcome release marks a big step forward for Prussian Blue, who have abandoned the straight and clean folky approach for something a little more rocky. The first track hits a strong tale of a lonely child in Kosovo - a strong reminder of how all isn't well everywhere in the world.
Although this track stands out, the band continue with several more strong tracks with bolder backing than on previous material which I think enhances them well, but there are some delightful ballads too on this seven track album - Don't Look Back is just sheer bliss.
This is the best work I have heard from the band yet - they deserve airplay!
